CARDIFF CORINTHIANS WIN THEIR FIRST W JOHN OWEN CUP!

Cardiff Corinthians V Llanrumney United

In a scintillating and close end to end cup final, in front of a pack USW crowd, where both teams all but cancelled each other out it was Corries who took the lead with an Iwan Withers flicked header in the 91st minute. With only the stoppage time left Llanrumney threw everything forward and equalised with a 20 yard thunderbolt from Aaron Rees sending the game to penalty kicks. Corries turned out the winners 4-2 in the subsequent shoot-out
